I don’t post on my blog very often, as you know, but I couldn’t let this pass without saying a huge ‘thank you’ to anyone and everyone who voted for me.
For those not familiar with it, the CWA Dagger in the Library is a prize for a body of work by an established writer of crime fiction or non-fiction who has long been popular with borrowers from libraries. It also rewards authors who have supported libraries and their users through taking part in library events. Not only that, but the recipient is nominated by libraries and borrowers and voted on by libraries.
Just to make the longlist is beyond my wildest imaginings, let alone a longlist of names like that. My old man always used to tell me it’s about the company we keep!
So, an enormous thank you to everyone who nominated me. I really do appreciate it.
