When is it available?

I've had to tell Alexa to stop reading Carnival Blues (around chaper 11)! I didn't realise there was a whole month to wait 😭😭😭

Just in time, I’m re-reading all of them again and just started Carnival Blues 😊

I can't wait - missing DCI Dixon, Jane and Monty!

Here are a few pics from last night at the Burnham Book Festival.

It was a lovely evening and a lively audience 😀 I do hope everyone enjoyed it.

The readings from Death Message and From the Ashes seemed to go down well too, which was a relief.

Otherwise, I don’t think I put my foot in it!

A huge thank you to the organisers, Lewis and Rebecca in particular. What a fantastic effort the festival is 😀

Great evening - Damien is a very entertaining speaker and it was interesting to be given an insight into how he was inspired to arrive at the plots. Particularly enjoyed how he found d the names . Thanks very much

Hello. We had a really lovely evening and came to see you as a group from our book club in Draycott. Looking forward to the new book launch on 24th June in Burnham. I can also highly recommend the chips too! Couldn’t resist a bag on the way home on Friday. 😂

I was interested in your point Damien Boyd about Amazon encouraging you to create a new character series to open up a new audience (hopefully) to the Nick Dixon novels and that you were talking about still basing the new stories around Somerset. I was thinking about this on the way home; lots of people travel to Somerset from The Midlands and Wales for their holidays, so perhaps if you based the books in those area/s (research required!) the audience attracted to the new books because of their location (like you said it’s the motivation partially for your Somerset audience) may also be attracted to the Nick Dixon novels because it’s where they go on holiday? Hope that makes sense somehow (it did when I was thinking about it) 😆
